COVID-19 Exposure Notifications are now available for your iPhone or Android in California. This is safe, private, instant, automated contact tracing, and you DEFINITELY should turn it on!

▶︎ How this works

▶︎ Why this ISN'T the government tracking your phone

▶︎ How to report your own positive case

If you're not ready yet, keep reading, and then come back up here.

If you have an iPhone, you need iOS 14.2 (or newer). You can upgrade your phone through Settings → General → Software Update.

If you have iOS 14.2, go to Settings → Exposure Notifications (should be in the 3rd group of settings — if you can't find it, use the Search at the top) and then flip the switch to On. You're done!
